Course Description: 

Qualitative data analysis is an art of thoughtfully and thoroughly examining mainly non-numeric data with the aim of coming up with a summary which best reflects the data. It is simply retrieving main ideas which would be used to address the research questions or purpose of a study. In this course, I will be introducing you to the unique characteristics of qualitative data analysis and discuss the qualitative analysis process. Also, I present strategies used in coding data, categorizing the codes, and demonstrate how to select and use an appropriate technique. Besides this, you will learn how to create connections among categories/themes and developing illustrations based on the findings. Finally, I’ll teach you how to present qualitative findings.

2. Prepare qualitative data for analysis
3. Choose and use an appropriate qualitative coding strategy
4. Choose and use an appropriate categorization strategy
