Mixing two methodologies (with differences in philosophical paradigm, kind of data needed, and data collection and analysis strategies) in a study can be challenging. But the benefits of doing so can be great. A mixed methods study can be an excellent way to get insight into your research question. In this course, you'll learn about the challenges of mixing methodologies and just how to overcome them. You will also learn how to appropriately design a mixed methods study, how to select an appropriate mixed methods design for your research question and context, and how you can use both modes of inquiry to answer separate questions.
