Phenomenological approach is used when you plan to collect and analyze people's experience of a phenomenon and extract the universal characteristics  or the meaning of the experience. This course will equip you to design your phenomenological study.

Learners will be able to:

  • Recognize the main features of a phenomenological study
  • Distinguish between phenomenological approach informed by transcendental and interpretative phenomenology
  • Determine which of the phenomenological approaches is appropriate for their research study
  • Utilize a selected phenomenological approach in their study
